Two large French banks no longer require their customers to complete a medical form when asking for a bank loan of less than 500 000 €. The medical form allowed banks to decide whether or not loan insurance could be granted, and what the amount of the insurance would be. This process is now considered discriminatory and the fact that these two banks no longer apply it should make home-ownership easier for many people.
