As you may already know, the new tramway line 2 now links Port Lympia to Nice airport. For just 1.50 euros, you can travel quickly and easily from the city centre to Terminal 1 — or the other way round.
After more than a decade of seemingly endless works, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel (yes, the tramway is partly underground!) and we thank the city of Nice for this wise investment, both for the long term and from an economic point of view.
Districts such as Caucade, Carras, Riquier, Pasteur and Libération have come back to life now that the city centre is only five to ten minutes away. Not to mention all the cosmetic improvements on either side of the rails: palm trees, flower beds and green spaces.
Line 1 will be equipped with WiFi (already available on lines 2 and 3) in the course of this year.
Line 3 already reaches the Allianz Riviera stadium, as well as the future IKEA still under construction… We are already looking forward to going there at weekends for Swedish meatballs with lingonberry jam.
